The plants, whether used as an oil, extract or fragrance in our products, come from controlled organic farming or wild collection. Together, they form high-quality active ingredient complexes, which pamper skin, hair and body with the best from nature. Over 60 different plant extracts are used at LOGONA:
Chamomile from Egypt, rosemary from France, linden blossom from Croatia, horsetail from Portugal: the LOGOCOS Research & Development team analyses plants from many different countries. The analyses show that plants from southern climates are the most efficient „sun collectors“. The intense sunshine means that they provide a rich harvest of active ingredients to make extracts with a very intense effect.
Own Extraction System
For greater quality and an improved efficacy
The most important extracts are produced by us at our "Kräuterwiese" in Germany. The quality of an extract is as important as the quality of the plants. LOGONA uses a special process with the help of its own extraction system to make the plant active ingredients so intensive and gentle:
LOGONA uses a mixture of bioethanol, water and glycerine as a solvent to gently release as much of the active plant ingredients as possible. This solution flows through the plants parts for a period of six to eight hours. LOGONA produces many of own plant extracts because standard extracts are usually made using only ethanol and water. By adding glycerin it is possible to dissolve even more of the active plant ingredients and some additional ones, too.
